On a typical day, especially during spring, summer and fall, I might make 1-2 quarts of red smoothie early in the morning to drink throughout the day for energy boost.

Here's the recipe that I use

Ingredients:

  • 1 beet (small-medium size, diced for blending)
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1/4 cup frozen pineapples
  • 1/4 cup Greek yogurt
  • honey (optional)

Direction:


Place everything in a blender until smooth and consistent.

Add honey to taste, if desired.

Enjoy and store some for later.
