Chocolate Truffle Cake

Chocolate Truffle Cake. Made w/ High Cocoa Chocolate. Serve w/ Tea, Milk, or Coffee.

Easy Chocolate Truffle Cake Recipe

For the Filling:
  • 6 eggs
  • 16 oz high cocoa chocolate
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup sugar
Directions:

Preheat oven to 425 deg F and prepare a cake mold by buttering it well.

Warm eggs and sugar over a water bath while beating with a whisk.

In a bowl, melt butter and chocolate.

Use tin foil to cover bottom of cake mold to make it watertight. Next add the egg/sugar mixture to the melted chocolate and beat well. Pour batter in cake mold and place into a deep baking pan. Boil some water and pour in the deep pan. The cake mold should be half submerged. Place into oven and bake uncovered for 5 minutes. Then cover and bake for another 10 minutes.

When removed from oven, the cake will be very runny. Cool it overnight in a refrigerator and it will set. Prepare for serving by placing cake on a base. There are plenty of great off-the-shelf pie crust mixes available. Just follow instructions to make and shape it in a circle big enough to fit the cake. I prefer Grahama cracker or Oreo flavored.

Garnish with powdered cocoa and whipped cream. Enjoy!
