Easy Hazelnut Nutella Macaroons RecipePlace hazelnuts, almonds, and confectioners sugar in a food processor. Sift the mix into a bowl.
- 1/4 cup ground almonds
- 1/4 cup finely ground hazelnuts
- 1 tbsp finely ground hazelnuts (topping)
- 1 cup confectioners sugar
- 2 extra large egg whites
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 jar Nutella Hazelnut
Whip egg whites and gradually beat in sugar to make a firm, glossy meringue.
Using a spatula, fold almond mix into meringue 1/3 at a time. When the dry ingredients are incorporated, continue to fold until a ribbonlike consistency.
Pour batter into a pastry bag and pipe circles onto parchment paper. Tap the baking sheet on the table to remove air bubbles. Sprinkle ground hazelnuts on top and let it stand at room temp for 30 min.
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Bake 10-15 min, cool for 10 min. Peel off parchment paper and let them cool completely.
Sandwich pairs together with hazelnut spread and serve.
